purpose

This site is a personal expression. I love working equally with my heart, hands, & mind… hopefully creating things that are useful, maybe unexpected, and seeing people smile. 

The site has some photos that I’ve taken and others have taken, a magnet experiment, teaser film, etc. It also has some woodworking projects like a pallet bar, a funky historic door table, but it’s missing some chairs, benches, a birdhouse with 3 perches (to represent my three boys for my wife affectionately called bird), a small boat (that I never got around to glassing), etc. One of my fondest memories was building stuff in my uncle's shop in New Hampshire as a kid… he had a couple lumber yards so it was the shop of all shops. I can smell the shop just by thinking about it.

I've lived my entire life on the coast, born in Beach Haven, NJ and raised our family in Manasquan, NJ, both incredible fishing and surfing communities.  I've always felt the most inspired in and around New England coastal communities. So, after we had a year-long adventure traveling by boat (on a trawler as a family of 5 & 2 dogs) throughout the southeast US, the Exumas, and up the east coast, we decided to make a new home in Portsmouth, NH.

Professional background

I get tremendous satisfaction from the work I do in the media/tech space so I spend most of my energy there. I’ve co-founded three different communities ranging from 1MM-3MM+ members. One of them, Thumb, was a SoftBank-backed startup that produced 3B opinions, reached #1 in social, and generated the 2nd highest usage times on mobile. In addition, I helped turn around a Fortune 500 media co. and ran a Top 100 digital agency that had clients like Nike, Marriott, and Universal Studios. Currently, I’m building Namakina to help connect people seeking transformation with brands that offer luxury travel, med spa services, fitness retreats, wellness products, etc. I’m always open to meeting good people and talking business, if you want to talk message me on Linkedin.
